2003 Alfa Romeo

After much deliberation I am finally putting my 156 GTA sportwagon up for sale. I have owned her for nearly 3 trouble free years and she has been an absolute pleasure in that time, however changing circumstances mean she has to go.

If you are reading this ad then I presume you know what these cars are all about, if not a quick web search will reveal plenty of articles praising the GTA, these are cars that are quickly becoming sought after

This car has always been enthusiast owned and both myself and the previous owners have not been shy in opening our wallets to make sure she is kept in top shape.

New oil cooler and hoses to replace old corroded hoses (very important job and a potential engine killer, beware of GTA’s that have crusty oil cooler hoses £650 job)

All that has set me back somewhere in the region of £3500 this year, this I would hope will stand the new owner in good shape for some time to come.

I think that is about it, if you have read this far then congratulations on staying awake. In summary then this is a rare car that doesn’t need a cambelt for 3 to 4 years, it has a new radiator and oil cooler, it has the right diff, the right brakes, the right suspension, the right anti roll bar and a nice big boot. Oh I forgot to mention that it looks amazing and sounds even better.

6 months MOT left (no advisories) and will come with 6 months tax.

Currently on 114k but is used daily so will increase slightly.

Finally, problems, all cars have them. The front wings are a bit rusty around the edges and will need sorting, I have spent enough on the car this year though and I have reflected the potential repair costs in the asking price. There are the usual stone chips and little hair scratches consummate with a 11 year old car. Having said that she cleans up very well and has benefited from regular waxing.

These cars are simply put, great. I have always wanted one and am very glad to have had the opportunity to own one. She will be sadly missed.
