Car has a full service history, comprised of main dealer & specialist. Namely Peak Alfa in Derbyshire. Who have taken care of all the car's servicing and the majority of any additional work, during my ownership of the car. All bills & receipts to prove work and numerous others for additional parts purchased - mostly main dealer! ( see photo ). Supplied with original Alfa Romeo driver's pack & 2 keys.
All major work such as, cambelt/tensioners/idlers, water pump with steel impeller and clutch have been done. See details below.
I have owned the car since Nov' 07 but please be aware that this is now a 10 year old car and although cherished by me, is not perfect. There are one or two blemishes/marks on the body as you would expect on a car of this age. With this in mind, I feel I have priced the car accordingly. Please contact me if you require more info regarding these points & please do not be under the impression that this will be a bargaining tool to in order to get the car for 4 grand. It won't.
The 'testimonial' :
This has been a fantastic car & I'm still not bored of it! The infamous Arese built Busso V6 makes a sound that few cars can match and I NEVER get tired of hearing the music! And I still do the old 'look back', every time I park it. Even after all this time.
I am not entirely convinced that parting with it is the best idea I've had, but I just thought it was time for a change. Sure, there are more modern cars around, that can no doubt beat this car on speed & handling, but it still surprises people, ( including myself ) because most just don't know what this car is. Only 267 156 saloons came to this country and are rarely seen. I have owned this car for 6 1/2 years and to date I have only seen 3 others on the road. 2 of those were owned by a friend of mine.
Every time I drive this car it's an occasion, as opposed to just a means of getting around. It will be sadly missed.
Service history is as follows:
21/02/04 - P.D.I. - E.S. Jones of Flintshire ( AR Main Dealer )
17/11/04 - 5400 miles - E.S. Jones
12/03/05 - 8772 miles - E.S. Jones
06/03/06 - 14349 miles - Mangoletsi, Cheshire
14/02/07 - 21359 miles - Mangoletsi
24/06/08 - 34192 miles - Peak Alfa, Hope, Derbyshire
13/06/09 - 42444 miles - Peak Alfa
16/07/10 - 48195 miles - Peak Alfa
10/08/11 - 53355 miles - Peak Alfa
05/09/12 - 58308 miles - Peak Alfa
25/09/13 - 63509 miles - Peak Alfa
Details for other major work as follows:
30/11/07 - Standard radiator with new clips & cooling system refill.
24/06/08 - 34 192 miles. Front discs replaced ( Brembo ) with Ferodo DS2500 pads.
05/08/08 - 34929 miles - Fractured AC pipe replacement & system re-gas, top engine mount 'dog bone', OEM front fog light replaced with new OEM unit. Rear radius arm poly bushes. Handbrake cables.
13/06/09 - 42 444 miles. Pair, front lower wishbones replaced.
27/08/09 - 43736 miles Cambelt, Tensioners & Idlers. Aux. belt, water pump ( with steel impeller ). This includes engine work after cambelt broke, on start-up, the week before and, as a result, caused slight damage to the exhaust valves in one of the heads. All 6 valves were replaced with new, as were the guides. All relative machining carried out as is standard procedure with this work. The engine has NEVER suffered any ill effects as a result of this occurrence and it turned out to be quite beneficial as the Q2 diff & new clutch were fitted at the same time.
26/02/10 - 46 238 miles Rear brake discs & pads replaced. New washer jets fitted.
16/07/10 - 48 195 miles. New spark plugs fitted. Top suspension arms replaced ( along with poly bushes, which were later removed & replaced with the original type as the poly type proved very noisy, once the car had been driven a few miles - rubbish! ).
10/08/11 - Battery replaced.
19/08/11 - New front fog light fitted ( OEM part ).
10/11/11 - O/S lower wishbone replaced.
Aug '12 - approx 57 000 miles. Stainless exhaust/front pipes & lambda sensors fitted by myself. Also fitted full set of Autolusso braided hoses.
27/11/12 - New, aluminium core radiator fitted.
Oct '12 - Both floor pans cleaned of surface rust & re-undersealed, front to back with 3M Underbody Shutz, at Myers Grove Motors - Sheffield.
03/12/13 - 63 850 miles. Front AR bar replaced, along with 'Meyle' heavy duty drop links - supplied by myself.
Please also note: I am still using the car very occasionally, so the mileage may be slightly more than pictured.
