2003 Alfa Romeo

We are Autolusso and we are the UK's largest independent Alfa Romeo specialists.

We have been working with Alfas for many years and have seen lots of GTA's throughout this time, and I can honestly say that in my opinion this is the best condition GTA in the country.

The current owner of this vehicle is the one and only owner, he ordered it new from Perrys in Amersham, he specifically ordered a 156 GTA Selespeed and a couple of months after he ordered the car was told by Perrys that Alfa Romeo UK would not be importing any GTA Selespeeds. The customer wanted the car he had ordered, adn as a result ended up having to take court action against Alfa Romeo UK to provide him with the car he had ordered.

We have been looking after this car for one very discerning owner since 2009, the first job we ever did to the vehicle was to fit a Q2 limited slip differential and since then we have carried out all the service and maintenance, this car has wanted for nothing. Whenever there has been the slightest issue, whatever it was, it has been replaced/resolved at any cost. This car is genuinely a no expense spared car.

Along with a Q2 limited slip diff being fitted it has also had:

- Eibach roll bars fitted

-Bilstein B8 shock absorbers

-Supersprint exhaust system

-silicone water hoses with stainless steel radiator lower pipe

-silicone intake hose

-BMC air box

The first cam belt change was at Perrys in Amersham on 15/07/2008 (11,722 Miles)

The cam belt was changed at Autolusso for the second time on 06/07/2012 (26,918 miles)

Over the last 5 years we have done a lot of work on this car including;

- We have had the engine bay components professionally powder coated (not painted!)

- We have replaced all of the original intake hoses with our silicone hoses as we have found that the old original ones tend to wear away and split as they are not as strong as the silicone hoses. They also compliment the engine powder coating fantastically.

- The front discs and pads have been changed and the pads have been upgraded to the 'Performance Friction' pads.

- We have done a waxoyl underseal treatment to help prevent the car from rusting

- We have also had all four wheels refurbished and the centre caps have been replaced with brand new ones to match the quality finish of the wheels.

- The car has had a complete top end engine rebuild which involves changing both cylinder heads and replacing all the gaskets with new ones. Whilst doing this we replaced the cam belt and water pump (with new gaskets where required) and gave the car a premium service which includes all service filters being changes, new spark plugs and we also gave the car an air con service where we check for any leaks in the system and then completely re-gas the air con system. (All of this was carried out by us at Autolusso on the 06/07/2012)

- We have also replaced the old radiator with a new aluminium one as well as changing various other bits and pieces such as the header tank ect. (This work was carried out on the 26/07/2012)

As you can tell by the work that has been carried out on the car the owner really did not hesitate when it came to the maintenance of the car. If something needed doing it has been done. This GTA is in immaculate condition and has been well looked after throughout its entire life.

I think the only time this car has ever even been out in the rain is when it has been here having work done on it the rest of the time it has been kept in a heated, dehumidified garage
