1970 Alfa Romeo 1300 GT Junior – GTA

We are pleased to offer today this 1970, step front 1300 GT Junior that has been built to represent the GTA Juniors of the period.

The Alfa Romeo Gran Turismo Allegerita (GTA) was the competition version of the popular 105 Giulia coupé.

The coachwork has the GTA silhouette with the addition of the wider GTA wings and the paint is finished in the classic Alfa Romeo Rosso. Further features include the GTA style grill and Alfaholics supplied, gold 15×8 inch GTA style alloy wheels with new Toyo Proxes TR 225/50/R15 tyres.

Mechanically the car has been enhanced with a 2000c engine giving this Evocazioné superior power and torque over the standard 1300cc. In addition, rebuilt twin Dell’Orto carburettors, with angled ram pipes, supply the fuel. A standard five-speed gearbox with drive through the 1750 Berlina differential.

The braking system has been completely overhauled and includes four new calipers. Eibach springs and Koni Sport, adjustable shock absorbers on all four corners provide the handling dynamics.

The interior exudes the air of a period car; the GTA headlining, Momo dished steering wheel and the rare, original, factory leather flying buttress seats.

This great little Alfa is supported with a competent history file containing many invoices from the UK’s leading Alfa Romeo specialists, Alfaholics, Classic Alfa and the Highwood Motor Company.

The file also includes a letter from the Alfa Romeo Owner’s Club, confirming that the chassis number relates to the car’s manufacture May 1970 and its current MOT certificate amongst other dealership papers.
