2001 Alfa Romeo

My lovely low mileage GTV 2.0 is up for sale.

I am an alfa enthusiast and I have had roughly 10 alfas in total. I bought this car to restore back to its former glory. I have sorted everything mechanically and she runs like a dream.

This car is a joy to drive with great handling and a lovely engine.

Here is the detailed spec.

2001 2.0 Twin Spark with 48,900 miles on the clock from New.

Timing belt and tensioners done 5,000 miles ago (November 2012)

New ashtray (old one was broken)

New Meta Alarm and fobs as the old one had been removed...

New rear Shocks

New Battery

New Radiator

HID's fitted 5K colour. (White not blue)

New exhaust centre section

Upgraded side lights fitted.

New Alfa Badges front and rear.

New wipers

Rear Spring Pans have been powerflexed.

Changed the 8 tappets on cylinders 3 and 4 as it was a little tappety... Now gone.

Tyres all good around half worn all round.

Tax til end of April and Mot April 26th.

Part Service history.

I bought the car off an elderly gent in Hoddeston who had it for 5 years locked up in a garage. It had the first 2 services in the book but that was it. I've since had everything done to it and its a very clean car mechanically. No rust at all. I've checked with the DVLA and the mileage is verified with all the old MOT reports.

I am good friends with an alfa specialist so I pay cash for a lot of the work done. I normally have the parts invoices to backup any work done but the garage can vouch for me.

Suspension is in perfect condition. Mechanically she is also perfect.

She can give off a little classic twinspark tick when started stone cold which goes away very quickly.

Interior is very clean apart from the driver side A Pillar. I have a replacement which I ordered a couple of months back (and the B pillar as its a bit dirty) but I havent had a chance to fit them yet.

The bodywork is the only thing that lets her down in my opinion. Presumably from where she was stored in the old boys garage. There a few scratches and blemishes around the car. No Lacquer peel or fading however. The rear brake pads need replacing, but I have no issue doing this for the new owner.

I would love to keep the car but we are saving for a house and this is going to help the deposit.
