Without the Aston Martin DB7, it is likely we probably be without the iconic British marque today; it was the car that saved the company. By using the remnants of the stillborn Jaguar XJ41/42 project, from 1990 and with the assistance of Tom Walkinshaw Racing, a new affordable Aston Martin DB7 took shape. It was launched at the 1993 Geneva Salon; the DB7 looked beautiful, so it stole the show, and met with critical acclaim. But it is the current affordability of the DB7 that really sets it out; as it remains usefully fast, great looking and still capable of turning heads. An intercooled supercharger boosts the output of the 3.2 litre, 24 valve twin cam straight six engine to 335 bhp at 6,000 rpm. All done in a most civilised manner, up to a top speed of 160 mph. First registered in May 1995 and with 76,000 miles recorded; Arun are pleased to offer a rare manual Aston Martin DB7 finished in Chiltern Green with Parchment and Green two tone leather piped in Green. These up to now ignored and affordable Astons are, on the upward price scale. So take heed ! This particular car was supplied new by Statstones who then serviced it seven times in five years and thirteen thousand miles! It then visited Reg Vardy's six times up to forty nine thousand miles and there are a further six stamps, mainly by Chiltern A M Heritage. It is now going through a full body and mechanical inspection in our workshops including a thorough cleaning and inspection of the underbody and full waxoyl treatment. A full copy of all works carried out will be included in the history file - this will show the equivalent of approximately £5,000 of work.
