2007 Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate Edition

A very rare Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate Edition with only 4,000 miles and a full service history in beautiful condition. Number 41 of only 50 cars ever produced and one of 20 RHD examples.

Aston Martin unveiled the Ian Callum designed ‘Project Vantage’ at the North American International Auto Show, Detroit, in 1998. Such was the interest in the car that by the Geneva Motor Show of the same year, Bob Dover, then Chairman of Aston Martin, had persuaded Ford boss Jac Nasser to put the V12 Project Vantage into production! The result was the V12 Vanquish, unveiled at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show, with Ian Callum only making minor changes to his original design; it had a 5.9l V12 engine developing 450hp and was revolutionary in its aluminium and carbon composite structure, drive by wire throttle and electro hydraulic manual transmission. It appeared in the 2002 Bond movie ‘Die Another Day’ and was named in the top three best film cars ever alongside the ‘Italian Job’ minis and the DB5 from ‘Goldfinger’!

The Vanquish was produced up to 2004 and only 1400 cars were made before the announcement of the Vanquish ‘S’ at the Paris Auto Show that year. The car had an increase in power from the V12 engine to 520hp, up rated steering, suspension and brakes, new wheels, a front splitter and rear spoiler incorporated in the boot lid. The Vanquish S was built until 2007 when the production facility at Newport Pagnell was shut down and only 1086 examples were made. The end of the production run and the end of hand built cars from Newport Pagnell was celebrated by producing the very last 50 cars only as the Vanquish S ‘Ultimate Edition’. All the cars were painted in special colour ‘Ultimate Black’ with Obsidian semi analine leather and contrast stitch, leather headlining, black chrome finishers, subtle badging and personalised sill plaques.

This car, number 41, and one of only 20 specified as right hand drive, is a superb example of this very rare and sought after model with only 4,000 miles and a full service history.
