For sale is my 2006 RS4 as follows:
Based in Southampton
I got the car sept 2010 at 25k miles so owned for coming up to 4 years. Purchased from McGurk cars (very well known performance dealer who doesn't take any old junk - writes for EVO occasionally)
Not daily drive (joys of working from home)
Bucket seats with front seat heaters. Not to bad wear n tear on bolster. Better than I would expect from a car of this age.
Drc inspected and no signs of leak. Previous owner replaced a couple units as confirmed by the audi dealer history.
Sat nav
Flat bottom wheel - slight wear n tear on the buttons.
Sunroof
Audi blue tooth phone integration and dashboard mounted phone cradle. It's pretty ugly but functions well. I have obtained a replacement centre console with no dash cradle which I can include (I just have not had time to fit it yet).
Auto boot open
Auto lights
Auto wipers
Adaptive Bi-Xenon lights
Air Con with dual zone climate control.
Cruise control (all working so no clutch switch issues)
Auto remote window open close (with sun roof auto close)
Windscreen has stone chip on pax side that has been repaired and is mot fine.
Mot till June 2015 with no advisories.
The manifold flaps failed and were repaired at MRC. At the same time a full decoke/decarbon was performed, a ported, polished deflapped manifold fitted along with stage 2 ecu map and miltek cat back non-res valved exhaust with chrome tips. Also found aux rads leaking and one was replaced with a new unit and the other with a Mrc cold air feed. Dyno reading was 440 ps even with all cats in place.
The sport mode has been mapped linearly making it much more alive and a dream to heel n toe.
4 new goodyear asymmetric f1 2's fitted in January and we'll over 5 to 6 mm left (about 2k miles wear)
The front bumper and rear bumper removed and resprayed last month to remove some stone chipping wear n tear at audi bodyshop.
Wheels generally good - one has very minor clip about 1 cm. Very superficial and re-furbishable.
Car has audi service history
- 2 services at Aylesford audi
- 2 services at Southampton audi.
Service interval changed to 10k miles/12 months servicing as soon as collected and uses castrol edge 5W30. Next service due January 2015.
Tax runs to sept 2014
Only other faults in history:
- vac line to exhaust popped off the valve. Caused by cheap crimp failing. Replaced with a proper stainless jubilee clip and it's now going nowhere (or if it does, it's taking the exhaust with it)
- steering rack bolts worked loose (common on all B7 A4s) causing a knocking noise. Replaced by audi dealer.
- flickering bulbs - replaced with OEM Osram units last winter (Oct time)
Clutch operates perfectly with no sticking during high rpm shifts. I am quite sympathetic with the clutch and heel n toe rev match on downshifts so would expect low wear.
To be honest, it's a great car - I've had faster and more exotic cars but never kept any other longer than 2 years let alone 4. Main reason for moving on is that the kids are simply getting to big to comfortably fit in and the associated junk you have to carry with them.
Just noticed that the dash is lit up like an xmas tree - it's only cause engine off (and I've filled the washer fluid!)
New car already ordered and about to arrive so not looking at part exchange.
No HPI and is finance clear.
This car is no longer available for purchase.
