EXTERIOR

Audi have forged a unique reputation in creating performance estate variants and with the B7 they remain true to form with deep sills, wide arches and huge road presence. With only an isolated dusting of chips to front bumper and lights, the front end is extremely clean pointing to a careful and fastidious ownership. With bold arches, much like the B5, there is scope for peppering but again there is nothing major to report with only one or two tiny marks commensurate with age and mileage. The matte aluminium cabin surround, roof rails and mirrors really set the car off and remain fresh, clean and smooth to touch.

INTERIOR

The fit and finish of the modern day Audi is exemplary and the cabin here has worn particularly well. The wing back Recaros dominate entry into the cabin and as one of the first cars to debut the Sportster CS they look immediately at home. With that flat bottomed wheel and generous combo of aluminium and carbon fibre the car still looks as fresh as it did at launch. The carpets, gearbox tunnel and entry strips are pleasingly free of marks with switchgear in excellent condition and in fine operational order.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

Despite its mileage the Audi service schedule has been perfectly maintained so the car is in A1 mechanical condition and wants for nothing. The high revving 4.2 V8 under the bonnet makes for an addictive soundtrack and looks ever bit the part, on show and surrounded with RS4 logos and carbon trim rather than hidden under plastic covers. The 6 speed Getrag manual gearbox is mated to Audis Torsen based quattro system providing superior grip in all weather conditions.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

The newly refurbished double spoke alloy wheels are in perfect condition, shod in nearly new matching Pirelli P-Zero’s. The Audi Brembo gloss black 8 pot brakes provide huge stopping power and having been treated to fastidious service intervals maintain excellent feel and performance.

HISTORY FILE

Supplied new to Crewe Audi on the 15th June, 2007, this sublime Avant has been fastidiously maintained by the Main dealer with the last visit in May 2015 at 27,946 miles. The troublesome DRC has been rectified with 2 new front shock absorbers early on in the cars life at 3 years old. Fresh from a major service, including all fluids and spark plug replacement 600 miles ago, the car is in fine mechanical fettle. The full owners pack is present with a fully stamped service schedule, RNS-E operating manual and MMI disc. Every MOT certificate is also present and correct from new.
