BMW (E39) 530i Sport Champagne Edition I

One of 150 models produced of this Individual Special Edition. This is one of the finest cars ever produced by BMW and this is one of the very best currently available. Please take your time to trawl the internet and any other medium to verify this, as there are not many available.

One Previous Owner.

Registered 22nd November 2002 (Late 52 plate).

I have owned this vehicle over 7 years (bought in May 2007) and purchased from a pampering first owner. This is the longest I have ever owned any car, such is the testament of how good a car can be.

This UK car is HPI clear. I have the report from when I carried out the check at my purchase (2007). Number plate is LS52GYT. if you wish to carry out a further check.

Road Tax irrelevant under the DVLA rules.

I am a member of several car clubs but specifically for this marque, BMWland, and BMW5.

This is my daily car, but one of four I use at home so not used extensively as is testament to its low mileage for its age.

This has and is, a non-smoker’s car and no pets have frequented its interior.

Mileage (verified) is at 82,670 miles. It has averaged barely 7000 miles per year.

The car has been predominately garaged and parked in a secure private car park when at work.

This car has exceptional provenance having had great exposure on BMW forums and BMW Car Magazine. The appropriate (unread) Magazines will be supplied to the new owner where the car has been featured in the magazines.

On average, in normal traffic it achieves 24mpg but on a motorway cruise, it will easily achieve 35 mpg. This car has never been raced and I am a conservative driver. I have other cars that fulfill that brief.

EXTERIOR

The car is approaching 12 year old, it would be no surprise that it has the odd mark and stone chips, consummate with age.

That said, I do take pride on the appearance and presentation of my cars.

The typical place for corrosion is inside the fuel filler cap and boot switch. These were re-sprayed locally in 2012 and are in good order.

The headlights have brighter (Legal) Osram Night breaker Plus H7 bulbs.

I have a new chrome grill that will be put on the car, should the new owner not like the black one.

INTERIOR

Again, taking into account age, the interior is in excellent condition.

Air conditioning (Auto Climate control) blows ice cold.

The notorious pixel issue for the dashboard was resolved by a replacement at my local BMW dealer (at my cost)

The door membranes were resealed in June 2007.

The interior is fully intact.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

Engine is strong and excellent.

The 5-speed automatic transmission is very smooth but recently started to have a lumpy gear change. This may be due to lack of use. As a result, I had the Transmission oil and filter changed and there was an improvement but I wasn’t happy so I have changed the whole transmission with a freshly refurbished unit including a full fluid and filter change.

Now resolved and driving excellently.

I am still driving the car so its mileage will creep up slowly.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

Genuine 18” Style 37 M Parallel Alloy wheels are pristine, having been powder coated some years ago in preparation for a BMW car magazine photo-shoot (in 2009).

Front alloys are 8.0J dressed in the respected Goodyear F1 Asymmetric (235/40/18). Both with around 4 mm tread left.

Rear alloys are 9.0J dressed in respected Falken FK452 (265/35/18). Both with around 4 mm tread left.

The genuine, spare BMW alloy wheel (16” with Continental tyre) is unused and in perfect condition.

HISTORY FILE

I am fastidious about keeping records, and as such, I have all the literature and documentation that came with the car at original purchase including the original bill of receipt.

I also have all the old MOTs and tax discs.

I have nearly every invoice, from BMW Hexagon (up to 40K miles) and all invoices from the well-respected Independent BMW specialist, NCB Auto Kraft thereafter with the last service at RSR Autotech (German car specialist).

The car has been serviced according its on-board service indicator for all services and brake fluid changes.

Because of its low mileage there would be long intervals between services so I have had precautionary oil changes carried out between services because I am anal like that.

The car was last service in June 2014 (Inspection 2 with full coolant change) has only been driven for 500 miles since, in the last 4 months.

Therefore the service indicator has a full suite of green lights.

All handbooks/manuals are present in the BMW leather wallet.

Additionally, I have the following that can be negotiated;

• Spare battery (fully charged)

• Set of 16” winter alloys dressed in Winter tyres (all Continental and all with 4mm of tread)

• Set of 19” Style 95 alloy wheels dressed in the respected Uniroyal RainSport 2s (Extra load), all with at least 7.5mm of tread (new tyres come with 8mm). 245/35/19 up front and 265/30/19 at the rear. In brand new condition.

All original (2) remote keys are present and working, one still in its original (untouched) leather holder.

The car is polished at least every 2 months.

The car will be well prepared but if you require a “Detail”, I can factor this into the sale.

A RELUCTANT SALE

This is an extremely reluctant sale but it is time for someone else to cherish this car and hopefully lash as much TLC on it as I have done over the years.

I have decided to move in a different direction, and if I had the space, I would keep it.

It currently resides in my garage on its Winter set of wheels but will be returned to the original 18” wheels as desired.
