Description
I’m selling my E46 M3 that I’ve owned for 6 months as I’m moving abroad with work.
The car is in very good condition for its age and has had a few performance upgrades which are listed below.
The previous owner added several exterior modifications to give the car the ‘smoked’ look (indicators, side vents, side indicators and powder coated wheels) in my opinion this gives the car a wow factor!
Below is a brief run down of everything you need to know:
General
- Manual E46 M3 coupe in silver grey - definitely the best colour and the manual box is definitely the preferred option in these cars
- 2004 - 54 plate on 117,000 miles (will rise slightly as its my daily driver)
- Full service history with a folder full of receipts (see pics)
- MOT - expires 13 Jan 17
- 8 former keepers
- 2 keys
- 19” wheels
Interior
- Harmon Kardon sound system (with upgraded amp - see below)
- 3 headrests on back bench (I couldn't care, but i’m told this is rare if that floats your boat?)
- Sunroof
- Electric seats
- Bluetooth pairing for phone (pairing cradle included)
- CD changer in boot
- Sat Nav upgraded to latest version with 2016 maps
- Armrest delete and cupholders/coin box fitted (will include original armrest in the sale or swap over if the buyer prefers)
Performance upgrades
- £1200 K Sport 8-pot brake kit fitted in 2015
- Intrax lowering springs
- Stainless exhaust back box
- Michelin pilot super sport tyres all round
- Remapped with dyno print out to 354bhp so running very well
Coding extras
-M Track Mode (CSL DSC settings – allows more slip before DSC kicks in)
-Windows close from key (Including rear windows)
-Mirror memory position adjustment when in reverse
-Alarm flash on lock/unlock (single/double)
-Alarm tone volume (continuous and louder tone)
-Headlights flash when alarm sounding
-Doors auto lock above 5mph
-Car relocks automatically if unlocked and left for 2 mins
-Comfort opening of drivers window (double push of unlock)
-Panic alarm (hold boot release button)
-Follow me home lights
-Double impulse hazard lights
-155mph Speed limit removal
-Sport Mode Memory (remembers where last left on/off)
-Modified oil temp warning light range (similar to CSL settings)
Servicing / condition
- One of the main reasons I bought this car is that it had its boot floor replaced under warranty by BMW on 17 April 14. This is one of the main things that can go wrong on these cars and means that I had the peace of mind that it wouldn't need an expensive repair. I have a receipt from the dealer to prove this.
- It has just had its inspection I service at DW Motorworks BMW specialist in Newcastle on 17 August 16 so its another 13000 miles until it will need an oil service
- Full service history
- Air-con was re-gassed in May.
- Wheel alignment carried out in October 16 and I got a 2 year policy with Kwik Fit if it requires any tweaks going forwards. Im not 100% sure if this transfers with the car.
- Interior is in good condition overall.
- Exterior paintwork is in good condition. It's had paint in the past but cleans up well as you can see in the pics. I’ve always cleaned the car well and it has recently had a full clay/HDwax treatment.
-If you were being picky the front bumper probably could do with a respray for the usual stonechips expected on a car of this age.
Misc points
- One of the previous owners decided to paint the rear callipers yellow to match the KSports - he obviously got bored half way through so currently it has one OEM colour and one yellow rear brake calliper. Its been on my list to replace the yellow one for a while but I've never got round to it. Replacement callipers can be bought fairly cheap on the net. Alternatively a pot of yellow metal paint and a couple of hours cleaning/painting will have it matching again!
- If I get my asking price ill include an upgraded bm54 module for the HK speakers. This was a stage 2 upgrade done by carphonics and also includes a aux/bluetooth upgrade so that you can stream from your iPhone to the car's music system.
In terms of test driving, I’m more than happy to take viewers out on a drive, however I need proof of comprehensive insurance or cleared funds/cash if you want to drive it yourself. Obviously I will refund your money in the unlikely event you choose not to go through with the purchase providing you haven’t binned the car
I think that covers everything. Let me know if you have any questions.
