This is a true one of a kind. This Seven was build while the CSR 260 was still being developed. The 2.3L Duratec engine was built by Ministers (the magicians behind the k-series R500 engine) who designed it to produce a reliable 260bhp. The car itself was then built by Freestyle along with one of the Caterham engineers at the time. It was given Freestyles inboard front suspension whilst the rear track was widened to that of a CSR to improve its stability. The decision was made that with all this torque a 6 speed close ratio gearbox was unnecessary, so the wider ratio 5 speed was fitted . Combining the technical specification of this Seven with the chosen interior options this could only be described as equivalent to an R500 for the road. No other car in this price range could come close!
