Ferrari Testarossa, single mirror car

With the exception of the limited-run F50, Enzo and LaFerrari, the Testarossa series cars (including the 512 TR and F512 M) are the last of the 12-cylinder mid-engined Ferraris.

This now-legendary Ferrari was launched with an astonishing showcase event at the Lido Club in Paris in October 1984, and it has been an icon of Italian performance and passion ever since.

The 390bhp produced by the fantastic flat-12 runs through a five-speed manual gearbox, and can propel the car up to 180mph.

This particular Ferrari Testarossa is a truly superb example of an original right-hand-drive car in the highly desirable single-mirror (monospecchio) configuration. Its beautiful single-bolt wheels (monodado) are also present and correct.

This is by far the rarest and most desirable specification for the Testarossa, with fewer than 100 single-mirror cars believed to have been delivered to the UK.

The Testarossa is finished in the magnificent and original colours of Ferrari racing red (Rosso Corsa) with cream hide, brown dashboard and brown carpets.

This stunning Ferrari was completed in Maranello in the summer of 1986 and delivered to the UK in September. It was handed over to the customer at Ferrari’s main dealer in the West Midlands, Colmore Depot Limited.

By June 1991, the car had already covered a little over 22,000 miles, as documented in the stamped original service book that accompanies the car. Between this point and 2003, the Testarossa was kept securely garaged by its owner and only exercised over a few dozen miles per year, which is fully authenticated by MOT certificates in the the history file.

Minor recommissioning work was carried out in 2006 and 2007 after the Testarossa was brought out of this decade of light use, which is detailed by invoices from a specialist in the car’s document pack.

Foskers sold this wonderful Ferrari to its current owner, and we are delighted to be able to offer it for sale once again.
