1992 Honda

Here we have a pristine and totally unrestored example of a Honda CRX VTEC in factory Vogue silver metallic.

HISTORY

First registered on 22/09/92 by Marshall of Reading Honda before being purchased by the first owner, a Mr J P Lyons of Reading. Here it stayed for 3 years before being bought on 08/09/95 by a Mr G Chillcott of Bristol having covered approx 18k. Mr Chillcott owned the car for a further 3years until I purchased it from him on the 01/07/98 with 47k present. The car shows only 3 previous owners, the first being Honda themselves.

I used it as my daily driver until October 2001 whilst also managing to visit a few car shows. June 2001 saw it awarded 'Best Honda' The Japanese Auto and Performance Car Show at Stanford Hall. During this time I only covered a further 11k (to just under 58k) due to a very short commute.

I then began working further afield so I garaged the car with the intention of using it on the odd fine weekend.

Here it stayed until July 2004 before coming out and covering only a few hundred miles until July 2006 when it had a major service & cam belt change, before being garaged again until the present day.

The car has been very well cared for during this time being subjected to routine maintenance and detailing in order to keep its condition up to a very high standard. Very recently it has benefited from a new genuine Honda rear silencer, air filter, battery, brake pads, full brake calliper refurbishment and transmission refilled with Honda MTF-3 fluid. It has also had a full wheel refurbishment in factory silver with 4 new Dunlop SP Sport tyres.

CONDITION

The car is completely rust free with perfect arch lips, front panel and sills showing all factory spot welds. All paintwork and panels are original aside from a new genuine Honda sunroof panel which was purchased by myself in 2000 due to one small blemish at a cost of £246 inc a new seal retainer, this is also now in perfect condition. All paintwork is detailed to a high standard and is protected by several coats of Zymol titanium wax. All exterior trim is unmarked and original.

The interior is also excellent and original aside from a period Alpine CDE-7828R CD player, with the drivers seat and steering wheel showing only very slight wear due to it's 58k careful miles.

The boot floor is perfect throughout with the original unused spare and complete factory tool kit present.

The engine bay is detailed to a high standard and has not been modified in any way.

All handbooks and service history (inc service receipts) are present along with MOT's, tax discs and some sorn declarations from 1997 including the original sales brochure.

The car is currently on sorn and will come with 12 months MOT for the new owner.

Rust free unrestored examples are now virtually impossible to come across, I believe this to be the best, most original example of a CRX VTEC you will find anywhere regardless of mileage.
