1997 Jaguar

For sale here is my lovely 1997, Jaguar XJR-6 in Antigua blue with cream leather.

First and foremost (and probably the reason you are looking at this advertisement) this car is REALLY fast and really is one of the best examples of a straight 6, supercharged XJ that you will find.

I bought this car as I have always wanted one, so when a good family friend said it was up for sale, I couldn't say no... and it really did not disappoint. Sadly though, other car related projects on the go - mean this has to go :-(

Everything works as it should, the engine pulls strongly and cleanly, the gears change smooth and silk in "Normal" mode, and snappy and quickly in "Sport" mode. The interior is as next to mint as it's possible for a 17 year old car to be, with some very slight wear on the drivers bolster. The car also enjoys a full Harmon / Kardon stereo system, which I believe was a paid for extra from the factory.

The car is totally standard, with the exception of a set of great condition XKR wheels, and a stainless exhaust system (don't worry, it's not too loud!!).

I've just done a whole heap of work on the car, including:

A new exhaust manifold (as the old one cracked as all X300's do)

New downpipes / cats

New automatic transmission fluid

New coolant

New thermostat

New drop links

4 x Brand new tyres

Full laser alignment

Being totally honest, the only downsides to the car are a few (namely 3 or 4) small scratches or "car park dinks" nothing that a couple of hours of your local dent man's time wouldn't fix.

The rear arches are showing no signs of rust, the underside and sills are totally rot free, and the entire time I've had the car I've kept it undersealed and nicely polished.

In essence, last of the brilliant "AJ16S" engines, with epic supercharger pull (and associated whine!!) where everything works and it drives as it should, comes with two sets of keys and a whole HEAP of history (including the original purchase receipt for an eye-watering amount!!)
