Description
Just completed and IVA tested this year (passed first time), by it's one owner who is a design engineer at Jaguar cars. It has been painstakingly constructed regardless of cost and has travelled just 800 miles. It was voted `Cobra of the Show`at Stoneleigh this year. It is Dax's latest De Dion camber compensation chassis and uses XJ40 running gear.
Finished in magneto pearlescent blue with ceramic white Le Mans stripes. (Paint job cost £4,500), with full luxury black leather interior. The Chevy 6.3 litre engine and Getrag 5 speed gearbox were supplied by British American Engines. It has been dyno tested at 443 BHP with 421 lbs/ft. of torque. Edelbrock 750 cfm carb. Vortec alloy heads. To say you could eat your dinner off this engine would be an understatement! Take a look at the photos. Oil cooler, electronic power steering, 3.54 :1 Limited slip diff. 18" Halibrand alloys with latest hidden wheel studs. 4 into 1 stainless side pipes. Retro style fans are fitted at the front but also has seperate electric fan behind the ally radiator. Motolita woodrim steering wheel, Willans 4 point harnesses, twin hoop roll bars, quick lift jacking points, Smith's instruments. Aston style fuel filler. Some of the polished items have been specially manufactured as `one offs` for this magnificent car. As you would expect, there is a huge construction file meticulously documenting every aspect of the build. This car is a credit to the skills and craftsmanship of the builder and a viewing is strongly recommended to fully appreciate the attention to detail that is to be found here.
