2012 Kit Cars

Sylva J15, built over a 2 plus year period to a very high standard. Used mainly for sprinting at which it won its class in its first and only season of 2013.

'IVA 'inspection and certification completed in November 2012. A full inventory of parts used is available. Corner weighted early in 2013.The car weighed in at just under 550 kg, which provides an approx 380 BHP/Tonne.

Sadly, due to bereavement, the car is now available for sale and can be viewed by appointment.

Bodywork /Instruments/Electrics/Interior

• Front headlights are Halogen, dip & main beam with built in sidelights.

• Custom wiring loom, switch panel mounted to right of steering wheel.

• ETB Gauges

• 'Wilans' 5 point harness fitted to drivers side, 4 point fitted to passenger side.

• Custom made full Tonneau cover.

Chassis / Suspension

Fast Rack 2.4:1

• Avo 2.25 coil over shock absorbers fitted with 200lb springs front & 300lb springs rear.

• 13" 'Image' split rims, new Toyo 888 soft compound tyres. 185/60/13 & 205/60/13 respectively.

Engine/Drive train

• 2 Litre Ford Duratec, Raceline shallow sump, Uprated Kent DTEC Cams, ARP Rod Bolts, TITAN 'Roller Barrel' throttle bodies, 75mm Intake Horns. Rolling road graph shows engine giving 210BHP & 156ftlb torque.

Matched to an MTX75 Ford gearbox with Lightweight TITAN flywheel with ARP flywheel bolts.

Quaife ATB ( Automatic Torque Bias ) Slip Diff unit.

• 4:2:1 Exhaust system specifically made to suit the car, sports catalytic converter.

• Emerald K3 ECU 3 programme settings adjustable in the cockpit,

Brakes

• Lightweight front hubs, Front callipers are 'High Spec' 4 pot fitted with Hawk pads

• Drilled & grooved discs, stainless steel braided hoses; rear solid discs with Sierra callipers Mintex 1144 pads and cable operated handbrake.

• In cockpit brake bias adjustment.
