1999 Lotus

Reduced and now a bargain for a very rare limited edition with such an extensive history. This has to go by the end of September as I need more seats for my children...

It is a rare 50th anniversary edition and there is a very full and comprehensive history - I have owned the car 9 1/2 years and maintained it religiously, with just a few sensible upgrades. I've listed everything below. The latest major stuff done is a B service in Nov 2014 plus new tyres, then MOT, cambelt, tensioner and alternator belt in Feb 2015. Tracking in March 2015 (handles like a dart - as it should) and as it was showing signs of HGF, the head gasket (inc head skim + pressure test, cam seals, new coolant, new oil and filter etc) changed in June 2015. You can be confident this car doesn't have any hidden mechanical issues.

I've done lots of refreshing over the last couple of years inc refurbished wheels, new window seals, new headlamps, new tyres (Nov 2014), other bits and bobs (see history). As far as I know, the paintwork is all original. There are some stone chips on the front - nothing major - it's in good shape here. There are also 2 cracks on each front wheel arch. The price I am asking reflects this - although you have to look closely to see them and it's never bothered me so much as to have the front end re-sprayed. I like to keep originality where I can.

So, it's a 50th anniversary edition registered on 1 March 1999. Certificate of authenticity from Lotus. Just 50 were made like this one. 50th anniversary edition features: 50th Anniversary green – created for this special edition and really gleams in the sun, Factory hard top inc storage bag, Alloy window winders, Green and raffia (beige) leather seats, Green floor mats, Gold decals ('Elise', 'Lotus' and 50th emblem on rear), gold coloured wheels which look perfect with this paint colour, front driving lamps.

There is a cobra alarm system and a radio with CD player. There were 4 keepers before me.
