It's time to sell my beloved S2 Elise Type-R which I've owned since May 2007. My priorities have changed with family etc and I just don’t use it much. I’m in no rush but she has to go.

- Yokahama A048’s all-round plus a part worn set of rears, also AO48’s (still road legal)
- Tax – 6 months (from March), MOT 12 months (post dated 17th April)
- 4-point harness plus standard seatbelt in driver’s side, passenger has standard seatbelt
- Alpine stereo
- Exige Alcantara seats – no sliding around like leather.

A brief history:
This car was first registered in August 2001, I bought it from a guy who worked at Wilson's Lotus in Essex in 2007. This car is registered CAT D from a GAP insurance claim in 2003. The CAT D is listed on the HPi report. I was happy that the car was straight so it was perfect for the project I had in mind - drop in a Honda K20 iVTEC unit.
This conversion was done using a Sunspeed kit and took approx. 9 days to complete. Full details of this conversion can be found online search elisetyper, full details of work carried out, wiring diagrams, modifications to the kit etc can all be found on the site.
This car has been on many circuits over the years and still runs and performs just as it did when I converted it. It has been well maintained and looked after, there are a couple of cosmetic marks and you may wish to re-spray the front clam due to stone chips (if mint is your thing).
On track this car comes alive. I’ve had no issues with keeping pace with an Exige S in the past. I don’t have an official figure for the 0-60 but it must be around 4-4.5 seconds – it’s very fast and sounds amazing when on song.
I had the car tuned on a rolling road by Advanced Motoring Engineering. It is fitted with an AEM ECU, VTEC point lowered to 6800RPM, revs to around 8200RPM (off the counter). The cold start warm-up map is a little lumpy but only for the first 30 seconds of operation the its fine (it always starts, but in the interests of honesty worth a mention)
The car has been kept under cover since I’ve had it. Only use on dry days.
For insurance I go through Competition Car Insurance as they offer an over 40s deal with 5 track day’s included. You must have proof of insurance if you want to drive.
If you’re after an exceptional track day car this car has the lot – it has never missed a beat, fitted with the right engine, a good map, good suspension, been meticulously maintained, not abused and treated with respect – in other words “looked after”.
Please call me if you want more details. Nick Morgan 07976 914974 – I think £14.5 is a fair price for a car that has cost me over 19k to buy and prepare. I have every receipt and tons of paperwork.
Please, no time wasters, test pilots, canvassers etc. Only serious buyers who are comfortable and technical enough to appreciate the work carried out on this exceptional car.
