MASERATI MASERATI 222SE - 2.8 V6 Twin Turbo

I have had a huge amount on interest in this car but a lot of time wasters-please, serious enquiries only..

Thanks for looking at my rare Maserati 222SE. Only a small handful of these cars were sold in the UK and they are a very rare sight on the road today.

She is a 1992 registered car and was one of the very first cars supplied through the UK concesion Meridian. She has the original manuals and leather handbook binder. Previously owned by Ken Costello, famous for putting the first V8's into MG's.

She is the 2.8 Twin Turbo car with fuel injection. She is a rare 5 speed manual and has a Quiksilver full stainless exhaust system.

Since i have owned her i have undertaken a lot of work to her which is all documented and the service history includes a lot of photos. I was unlucky to discover shortly after i bought her that the turbo chargers were worn and leaking oil causing a smokey engine. The engine rear main seal had started to leak (common problem) and required the engine to be removed to repair. the following work was therefore done (all completed approx 18 months ago)

Engine removed and cleaned

Rear Main seal replaced

Cambelt replaced and all bearings / rollers checked and replaced where required

New Sprigot Bearing

New Clutch

Both Turbos replaced and all nuts replaced with brass as reccomended

Manifolds repaired (small hairline crack) and skimmed

Replaced engine hoses and new clips throughout

Photos and reciepts for parts in service history.

One of the front shock absorbers was leaking so i had rebuilt to original specification. All suspenstion on whole car removed and all removed parts were powder coated / painted. Springs are now red which look great.

Whole underside of the car has been Schutz protected.

The interior on the car is excellent. A common issue is that the briarwood dashboard laquer degrades. I have had the wood repaired and it looks fantastic, including the maserati logo under the lacquer on the dash.

Car has Electric Windows, Electric Mirrors, Electric Aerial, Electric seats and all work. The electric heater fan was broken but has been recently repaired.

CAT1 Alarm so one was fitted last year with remote central locking and remote boot release.

The bodywork is good however there is rust appearing around the rear windows and the bottom of one wing. She is certainly one of the best i have seen and is an easy repair.

She drives like she should, is very fast and stops exactly as she should.

She sailed through her MOT this week with no advisories. Always garaged.
