2005 MINI

I've decided to sell my wonderful little mini. It's a 2005 Mini Cooper S facelift R53 in Hyper Blue with white highlights.

It's a lovely example, a very well cared for car with only 4 previous owners. The car drives beautifully and sounds fruity. Good condition all round, and looks great when clean.

It's just passed 99,000 miles but wears it well and drives like a car with half of that.

The car comes with all the usual Cooper S features such as electric mirrors, height adjustable steering column, excellent sounding stereo, and a brilliant supercharged engine. Everything works as it should, and the can of tyre weld and the factory tool kit remains in in boot unused.

The history file is good, with full history and a handful of receipts. The car is not due a service for another 8300 miles according to the dashboard. The MOT is not due until September 2016, meaning this is ready to drive through the summer!

The car is standard with the exception of a stainless exhaust system which gives the car a nice burble. The car also benefits from an auxilary input for the stereo, so you can plug a phone or iPod in, as well as use CDs or the radio as normal.

In the last 3 months I have fitted new engine mounts and a timing chain tensioner as preventative measures for two common faults with the R53. I have also recently fitted a full set of Khumo 039 tyres, which offer great performance and come recommended by many Mini specialists.

The options list for the car are relatively simple, but the right boxes have been ticked:

- Grey leather interior

- Matching grey dash and door inserts

- White roof + mirrors

- 17" Bullet alloy wheels

- Limited slip differential

I have both sets of keys and both work perfectly.

The only minor negatives are the fuel cap hinge is slightly wonky, there are a few stone chips and age related marks, the alloys are scuffed, and the bonnet doesn't 'pop' when released - suspect this is the lifters.
