Description
My Evo X FQ360 example advertised is genuinely an excellent honest example with the right service history. The car has only one previous owner (RAF Aircraft Engineer). The car spent its first years in the warmer climates of Germany (BFG) and this is clearly evident in the condition of the underside and general component wear and tear. Please note this is a UK registered car and not an import. I bought the car completely standard and proceeded to upgrade as per specification below. For those who may not be fully aware of the model differences, the FQ360 is the top spec model running 360bhp and includes the HKS components, carbon interior, Rockford Fosgate stereo and carbon cosmetic upgrades only applicable on the FQ360. The FQ360 only comes with the manual gearbox such to handle the engine torque. The SST autobox is not strong enough to transfer the higher engine torque. When the enhancements were fitted, I took the car to HQ Fife for a dyno tune. The results were absolutely fantastic. The car is safely running 400bhp/400ft/lbs. In particular the higher torque provides fantastic corner exit pull, especially when complimented with the close ratio manual box.
A summary specification of the vehicle is as follows:
2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X FQ360
Carbon Black with 45k miles
Alarm and immobiliser
Professional mapping by Russell at HQ Fife
MOT September 2014, Tax March 2014
FMSH + Clark Motorsport (including geometry set up)
Leather/Alcantara interior with embossed bucket seats
Carbon gear knob, carbon handbrake, carbon pedals
Factory tinted windows
Rockford Fosgate stereo system, 50mb hardrive, bluetooth connectivity
Carbon front splitter
Carbon vortex generator
Carbon exhaust heat diffusers
Brembo callipers
Bilstein shock absorbers supporting Swift springs (20mm reduction on OEM)
19” concave matt carbon allow wheels on Goodyear Eagle F1’s
HKS exhaust c/w legal sports cat
HKS turbo hard piping
HKS atmospheric PRV (SSV3)
HKS panel filter (currently running AEM system)
All the recalls are up to date with the last clutch master cylinder being done Tuesday 21st January 2014. The car is garaged in the evening and is kept in an underground car park if used for work. The condition is immaculate inside and out. I bought this car to replace a 997 Techart Turbo and can honestly say for driver engagement on Scottish B roads, there are very few cars that provide the same thrill factor.
The car wasn’t clean for the photos however the general offset and geometry lines can be appreciated. Please only genuine enquiries, thanks
