Description

Originally built and designed by Chris Craft and Gordon Murray back in the 90's (when Murray created the F1), the Light Car Company Rocket is indeed a rare sight these days.
Only 47 cars have reportedly been built to date and we have been asked to find a buyer for number 18 which has a particular strong family connection to Chris Craft.
Number 18 has been very carefully upgraded and updated over the years and no expense has been spared in its upkeep.
The history and provenance of this car is comprehensive to say the least.
When the Rocket was first announced to the world it boasted a 0-60 mph time of around 4 seconds and it had the equivalent of 400 hp per tonne.
Maybe the best way to summarise this car is the following quote from Car Magazine in May 1992 – “Unless you’ve driven a single-seater racing car, and a fast one at that, nothing can prepare you for the thrill of driving a Rocket.”
Space here does not allow us to fully detail the story and technical details of this car but we have written an article on our blog that will provide a great deal of information for any prospective purchaser. To read this article just click on the link below.
In the meantime please contact The Car Spy on 01892 506970 (or anytime on 07809 890969) and we will be happy to tell you more about this fascinating car.
