Knights Garage welcome into stock this incredibly special and equally as rare homologation Peugeot 205 Euro Spec Rallye in really fantastic condition.

If you are not so savvy with your 90s hot hatches then this exclusive homologation model for mainland Europe will be rather foreign.

For starters the engine is essentially the same engine as was in the 1.1-litre 205 with the cylinders bored out to 1294 cc and a sports camshaft and twin Weber carburetors fitted. The 1.3-litre engine produces 103 PS at 6800 rpm which encourages a one-on-one with the accelerator and rev counter. Adding the1.6 GTI front suspension, ventilated brake discs and the 1.6 GTI rear axle with rear drum brakes created a lively light-weight whippet which is true to form.

With 'Rallye' proudly inscribed on the leading panels this model had to follow the function over form approach so almost all soundproofing, electrical systems and other un-necessary items were removed. Bringing the weight down to no more than 794kg. The 'TU24' engined Rallye was exclusively painted white and sold in France, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Italy and The Netherlands, with LHD being the only option.

First registered in Holland but spotted in Belgium by a fellow British appreciator and classic car dealer E954BKM was bought to the UK in May 2010. A full refurbishment of the body, suspension, brake and fuel lines and more importantly the engine and gearbox were stripped of their component parts. The cylinder head was skimmed, new pistons and rings fitted, the crankshaft was re-ground with new shells inserted and the camshaft replaced. 5 years and 9,000 miles have passed and it's clear to see and physically feel that this is one tough Rallye.

The engine bay is unexpectedly pristine only upstaged by the bright red carpets which proudly look straight form the production line and winning the immaculate prize.

A largely original example bar a few choice upgrades which include. Leather Recaro seats. The standard cloth seats are known to perish with age and with the past 5 years the owner a gentleman 'tourer' considered comfort and safety over originality. A superb Monit data recorder is installed for converting the KMH to MPH. The correctly integrated roll cage adds a sense of purpose to match the benefits of rigidity.
