1998 Porsche

For sale is my lovely Porsche 911, 996 model. It is an original 1998 UK car with literally every option available at the time, including unmarked grey leather interior, power steering, 6 speed manual gear box, cruise control, CD player, 3-spoke steering wheel, electric windows, electric sunroof, air conditioning etc.

This is one of the first water cooled cars available on the market and this model, especially in its current condition with very low miles is set to rise with the on-set of the air cooled models becoming so far out of reach to many.

What makes this vehicle more desirable is the factory clear indicator lenses, 18” Cup alloys, lowered suspension, expensive private plate (included in sale) and full stainless steel exhaust system. It gives a nice deep throaty sound without being intrusive on a long journey.

The car comes with an excellent history file with old MOTs and invoices totalling well over £15000.00 all stored in a ring binder. Recent work includes new cross drilled brake discs with high performance pads, new Pirelli P Zero tyres fitted all round (matching), full service completed in the last few hundred miles and a fresh MOT. Servicing has been carried out by Porsche dealers and latterly by specialists.

It’s a low owner car with only 74k miles backed up by the service history and MOT certificates. I have had it in my possession since August 2011 with no expense spared. It is always garaged, never been smoked in and has never been on a track. Original factory labels can be found front and rear. The only reason I am selling is due to the purchase of an Aston Martin.

This is a true driver’s car and more than holds its own with current performance cars available on the market. The blend of straight line performance, mixed with sublime 911 handling makes this one of the most pleasurable cars to drive. In fact, for this money there’s nothing to compete with the value offered in this package.

Everything works perfectly on the car and it comes with two keys that operate the remote alarm. It costs me £220.00 to insure it on a classic car policy and on a run you will see well over 30mpg.

There are cheaper 996s on the market so go and look at them first. I am in no rush to sell so I stress don’t bother with insulting offers as my price is firm.
