1989 Porsche

For sale is our 944 S2 in blue with blue Porsche script interior with the optional sports seats that have deeper bolsters. The car also has a Dansk stainless exhaust and being an early 1989 S2, it has no cat'.

The car has 82,500 miles, which will gradually increase as we tend to use the car at least once a week. This is backed up by the service book, previous MoT certificates and the great big folder we have for the last 10 years or so of work done.

In the last 18 months we have replaced the power steering rack and pump, overhauled the handbrake and replaced all the belts along with the water pump and dizzy. All carried out at local independent Porsche specialists.

Prior to our ownership, other major service/repairs have included the clutch at 72,709 miles and some sill repairs in 2008 which are documented in the folder we have.

Mechanically and structurally we have got the car to a pretty good point as the intention was to keep it for longer, the only area needing some attention is the interior and some small cosmetic things.

The interior has the usual age related niggles of cracks on top of the dash and steering wheel stitching. Other niggles that I hadn't got around to are a hole in the bolster of the drivers seat and general tidiness of trim panel fitting. Have however got around to fixing the boot latches and door latch.

The current MoT runs until mid-November, HOWEVER, I will put a new MoT on the car as long as you don't offer silly money.

Overall the car is in good condition, ready for use as a daily driver, or with a bit of work could be brought up to a condition similar to cars advertised for twice as much.

We are selling the car as my wife isn't getting much enjoyment from it and ultimately it is her car, as well as our weekend fun car. Will consider a part exchange for a small hot hatch, ideally looking for a Panda 100hp, but open to other offers.
