2007 (57) Renaultsport Clio 197 R27 F1 Team Edition £6,300.00 ono

The time has come for me to sell my 197 F1 – I’ve had it since July 2011 and it’s been an absolute joy, but due to a change in my personal circumstances I no longer need to have my own vehicle, and these cars are made to be driven!

It is number 243/500 and has all the usual F1 extras – cup chassis, air con, cruise control, steering wheel controls, Recaros, keyless entry/start, Brembo's etc.

I am the second owner of the car and have full Renault service history, with the last 3 services as well as all the work done since I have owned it all carried out by a Renaultsport specialist in Sussex. All parts used are genuine and the car is un-modified (save for wiring an iphone/ipod lead in to the stereo). I have all the paperwork/receipts/booklets for the car.

I have both keys for the car and genuine Renaultsport mats which are all in good condition. I also have the accident management pack, emergency puncture pack, a special cleaning pack as the paint had been G3 treated before I bought it and, of course, the locking wheel nut key.

Mileage is currently 67,103 – this will only increase now through test drives as I am currently unable to drive following an operation. The bodywork and paint are in excellent condition for a car of this age and mileage.

Since I’ve had the car I’ve had the following work done:

Rear brake disks and pads

cam belt (plus timing belt, water pump & accessories) – Sep 2012 at 49700 miles

new steering wheel (had the old one replaced by Renault due to meltage)

new lower swivel & stay bar, exhaust re-welded to fix slight blow, front pads

new battery

new front nearside spring

new radio code

new indicator stalk.

The car has an MOT until August and 6 months tax. The next service is due in just over 7000 miles.

With regards to bad points, there’s nothing unusual, just the typical things for a 197 R27 F1:

Wear in the drivers side bolster which has worn through but is not big - you can see it on one of the pictures (all other seats and the carpets are immaculate).

Alloys have a little light scuffing and flaking – if you’re fussy you may want to get them refurbed.

Heater setting 2 works intermittently – but 1, 3 and 4 are fine, so I haven’t been bothered by it.

There is a small chip in the windscreen which has been repaired.

The car is located in Ilkley, West Yorkshire.
