Description
Hi and welcome to the sale of my beloved Clio 200.
The car is a 2011 Renaultsport Clio 200 'Full Fat'. The car was purchased in January 2011 new from Renault in Portsmouth.
The car had the following optional extras from the factory:
Cup Suspension
Recaro Seats
TomTom sat nav
Storm Grey Paint
It includes all the other factory standard features such as:
Keyless entry & start
Electric windows
Electric Mirrors
Aircon
Auto Lights
Auto Wipers
Cruise Control
I ran the car for around 13 months and 18,000 miles as standard until I decided it needed more power. The options where to tune the original engine or replace the engine with a 2 litre turbo power plant from the Renaultsport Megane 225. The potential of the 225 engine was far more appealing than trying to extract more power from standard N/A 2litre engine.
So the car went to K-Tec Racing in Dorset for a full engine conversion. I also swapped to the Megane 225 gearbox, which I had rebuilt and had a Quaife ATB diff fitted.
The engine that I sourced had around 46,000 miles on it. So before installing I had the cambelt, oil pump and water pump changed. The clutch and flywheel was also replaced with an uprated Helix clutch and K-Tec one piece flywheel.
Over time the car has been developed and tuned to improve all aspects of it, which are listed below:

As you can see the car has had some extensive work, using only the best companies and products, with no expense spared.
The car has been built as a daily driver and weekend warrior. The rollcage has been built very close to the internal trim of the car, with the door bars and rear diagonal/horizontal bar being easily removable to allow full use of rear seats.
The engine conversion has been done so well that you wouldn't know it wasn't the original power plant. All cruise control, ABS, traction control etc work perfectly. The car drives as any Clio or Megane would. MPG wise It returns mid 20's around town and low to mid 30's on long runs.
The megane engine has been installed for around 24 months now and has seen around 22,000 miles. In that time it has seen numerous track days and laps of the Nurburgring without skipping a beat once.
Needless to say this car can surprise much more exotic machinery, with the right driver behind the wheel.
The car has been serviced as required and looked after, always warming up and cooling down before and after hard use.
Only 2% of all clio 200's produced came in this Storm Grey colour, so it is in actual fact rarer than some of the wilder colours such as Alien Green and Liquid Yellow.
The car just sailed through its first MOT and does not need taxing until January 2015. Along with a recently being serviced and having 4 new tyres fitted.
There are a few minor bad points to consider. firstly the drivers seat has worn on the bolster. Unfortunately this is an inherent fault with the Recaros. Replacement seat bases often come up on ebay and can be replaced.
Secondly the car occasionally shows a 'check emissions' lights. This is due to the Sports Cat. The car passes an MOT with this item and the light normally goes out again after a few miles or when the car is next started. The car also sometimes shows a warning 'low battery'. This has been investigated and the alternator and battery are working perfectly. It is possibly down to a poor earth connection somewhere on the car.
Thirdly, there is a small amount of kerbing on one wheel. it is barely noticeable, but feel its worth mentioning.
Otherwise as mentioned before, the car is in great condition and has been well cared for.
The only reason I am attempting to sell this Clio is due to the desire to go racing. And as this will pay for a car and most of a seasons racing, it has to go. Otherwise I would be holding on to this awesome bit of kit for a very long time.
Now onto the price. As you can imagine something like this is hard to price. I am aware that most modifications to a vehicle add nothing to the value. Having said that, everything done to this Clio is of an exceptional standard with nothing but the best parts being used.
With all that in mind I am looking for in the region of £12,500. I am open to sensible negotiation, but will not entertain silly offers or swapping for random vehicles. If you were interested in a p/x, then I would be looking for a Clio 182 cup, with a value of around 2-3k.
The private plate also does not come with the vehicle. But will only be removed once a deposit is paid or serious interest is gained.
