RENAULT CLIO (X65) RENAULTSPORT 172 CUP 16V 2003

A really nice example of a brilliant little car that I think will soon become a rare modern classic. I've owned my 172 Cup since January 2011 and I've loved every single second of my time with it! It is with huge regret it has to go. Without any doubt the most fun and reliable car I've ever owned!

2003 model WITHOUT aircon, ABS, traction control, and most other mod cons, this car is a proper lightweight pocket rocket. It's pretty standard as I wanted to keep it insurable, however I did upgrade a few bits and bobs to enhance its performance (Admiral were happy to insure the mods). These are as follows:

182 4>2>1 manifold

KTR sports cat

Stealth stainless steel system cat back

Pipercross carbon induction kit

It has also been lowered a bit and has KTR top front suspension mounts, pukka poly gearbox and engine mounts and fresh exhaust mounts. No rattles or banging, all fitted properly to ensure everything is kept sweet and tight. New dampers all round fitted during my ownership and sits on nearly new Continental ContiSport Contact 3's all round.

The exterior is generally in really good nick, however the photos don't highlight a few small issues such as a couple bird crap marks here and there and a small ding where people have opened their doors carelessly. A couple of people have queried if the front n/s wing is a different colour and I can confirm this is NOT the case, it's the way the photos have come out! No rust or major problems of any real concern, just trying to be honest. All four wheels could do with a refurb too. Inside the car looks really good, usual wear to steering wheel but on the whole looks very fresh.

But it's the way this car drives that makes it special. It puts its power down really well and weighs just 1040kg so it's a pretty rapid car. Handles like its on rails in the dry, still feels really tight and accurate and going through tunnels is defiantly a windows down experience guaranteed to put a smile on your face! It has never broken down or failed to start; I've had 4 X65 RenaultSport Clios and this is without any doubt the best of the lot.

It also has a full size spare Turini with half decent tyre and LOADS AND LOADS of service history, old MOTs, receipts etc. I've got two keys, it's HPI clear and I've never driven it on track. Cam belt has been done twice and its had a recent oil service and coolant change (proper Renault stuff used neat as it should be!) MOT'd until May 2016 and still currently taxed, so all you would need for test drive is insurance.

I really love this car and tried hard to look after it well, but please don't expect a mint show car example; it has been used! For a 12 year old car though it cleans up really well and certainly looks the part and I'm sure it would make its new owner very happy indeed.
