Important to note:
04/12/12 --- 40664 ---– Cambelt changed
27/03/13 --- 43000 ---- SACHS dampers refurbed & unpinned
The cambelt was done on 04/12/12 at 40664 miles, less than 9k miles ago.
The SACHS dampers were refurbed by BG Motorsport on 23/03/13 less than 6k miles ago. These are the two main expensive jobs that will not need re-doing for a while.
Mechanically the car needs very little. I bought this particular car as the previous owner had spent a lot of money getting the car into top mechanical condition. I am due to give the car its yearly service (ahead of schedule - only 3000 miles since last service!) using Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 5W-40 and OEM parts.
In terms of bodywork, I wash the car using a two bucket method with certain Autoglym products to remove tar and polish. However in my opinion the car could do with a detail enhancement to really bring out the capsicum red.
The Turini’s are in need of a refurb. However the tyres have 5-6mm tread so a lot of life left in them.
Interior is very clean. The Recaro Trendline seats are in excellent condition with no rips or tears. Seat bolsters show no signs of wear. No seat levers are missing and tilt/slide works perfectly fine. However the plastic backs to the seats have some light scratches.
The car is run on super unleaded Shell V-Power Nitro+ (99 RON). I keep some of the receipts with the cars documentation to prove this.
I have an excel spreadsheet listing all work done (services, parts, MOT’s) during the cars life. This includes the odometer reading at the time, the name of the establishment that did it, and the cost of the work. I have the physical invoices and receipts also.
Car is completely standard except for some bits that I replaced as I felt they were letting the car down:
- Replaced cigarette lighter.
- Front splitter.
- Renaultsport custom side bullets. Looks good with matching anthracite turinis.
- Aluminum footrest.
- Renaultsport gear knob.
- Renaultsport Sabelt steering wheel + BOSS. Standard wheel has since been refitted.
- Replacement tilt lever for drivers side Recaro seat.
- New Renaultsport mats.
These are all subtle changes that improve and refresh the car however I have all original items so they are easily reversible.
I also have a spare set of SACHS stickers for the front dampers. The stickers tend to perish over time and are removed if the dampers are painted/powder coated. These are incredibly rare. Please note the stickers are still visible on the dampers on this car.
Bad bits:
- Some stone chips along the front of the car.
- Turinis in need of a refurb
- Inevitable Renault peeling on the steering wheel. The thumb grips are in tact however.
- Small dent on lower front of bonnet where it was pushed down instead of dropped.
Feel free to get in contact if you have any questions.
