Description

Due to the needs of a new business, I've decided to put my Clio Cup up for sale. I've spent a lot of time and money on this car, getting it to its current state of tune and if I didn't need to, the car would come off the road for a well earned rest over winter and be back on track in the new year.
This car is a properly sorted track toy, it's used around 5 times a year in the UK (Brands, Woodbridge, Abingdon) and Germany (Nordschliefe). It has never put a foot wrong and is extremely competitive. On its last outting in September (and in general) only the featherweight Atom and tuned Caterfield can get away from it, anything else has to be driven at a very high level to stay with it (Civic R engined Elise carries the same straight line performance but falls way short under braking and cornering).
It has been maintained regardless of cost, that's the reason I chose one in the first place...even the serious money parts don't break the bank. It's always warmed up and cooled down properly (ex TVR owner), it's serviced each year with full fluid swap including brake fliud (Super Blue or AP), transmission (Comma), oil (Fuchs Titan SuperSynth) and coolant (Halfords advanced). When it's not used, it sits in a heated garage, covered with a trickle charger to keep the Hayabusa battery tip top.
The car is road legal and has an MOT and tax (due to expire as I only run it for 6 months of the year). In standard trim, the Clio 172/182/Cup/Trophy is a very handy car but when you tune them...they take on a whole new level of ability. This car is running around 200hp and weighs ~800kg, you get the idea!
The spec list is as follows (hundreds of photos available and a drawer full of receipts).
