EXTERIOR
This example is well presented in its glossy coat of Blue Ridge metallic. The paintwork remains in good order still showing a deep metallic flake, and while not concourse this Subaru remains a delightful example.
On close inspection there are a few light stone chips to the front end of the vehicle, however nothing unexpected for a car of this age. Both side skirts are free from scuffs or damage as are the head lamps and fog lights, which remain crystal clear and moisture-free also.
INTERIOR
Opening the door on the Impreza you are presented with what seems to be a new car. All the surfaces including the door cards, centre console and dashboard are free from any sun damage or scuffs and retain a deep texture. More common areas such as the steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake also show minimal wear.
The original Subaru cassette player is still to be found along with the chunky Momo steering wheel. The sports seats still look like new and feel very supportive with no damage to the deep bolsters. The black carpet throughout the car is clean and unworn, protected in the foot-wells by the correct Impreza over-mats. Inside the boot it is a similar story, with the original Subaru toolkit and unused space-saver spare wheel both present.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The two litre engine bursts into life at the first turn of the key and idles up to temperature with a distinctive rumble. Opening the bonnet reveals an engine that has clearly been used but also well-maintained. Everything appears exactly as it should, with no visible modifications, which is not surprising considering the vehicle has had a total of 22 services in its lifetime, to include 4 cambelt replacements.
As you would expect, the 5-speed manual gearbox feels tight and shifts through the gears with ease, just as the factory intended.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
This Subaru sits on its factory 16" alloy wheels which are all in excellent condition having just been refurbished to a very high standard. The wheels are shod in a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres which all have plenty of tread remaining.
Hiding behind the alloys are the Subaru embossed calipers clasped to the discs which are all showing plenty of life.
HISTORY FILE
This Subaru was first registered 13th January 2000. During its life it has received no less than 22 services solely from Subaru specialists as well as 4 cambelt changes. The last service was carried out at 57,108 miles.
Present in the car is the original Subaru Impreza owners' manual and plastic wallet, complete with every MOT certificate from new. The original service book was lost but a replacement one is supplied with the car, along with an invoice for every service ever carried out on the vehicle.
