The Cappuccino's party piece is a 3 piece removable hard top stows in the boot to create a targa top or open top car. Plus the roll hoop and rear screen folds down into the body to create a full convertible. Perfect to enjoy a British summer's day and secure to leave when parked.

Engine and powertrain are original and unmodified. Suzuki quote 63 BHP to qualify as a Kei Car in Japan but this is rear wheel horsepower. This car has been dynoed at 77 flywheel BHP, showing the car to be in rude health. This and the ultra low 725kg kerb weight make this a little pocket rocket, with Autocar quoting 0-60 in 8.2s.

Dual wishbone front and multilink rear suspension make this a tidy handling car, made even better by the added front and rear tower braces and a pair of underbody braces.

Rust can be a problem on these cars and many have been repaired and welded. This is a 100% original example that has never needed any welding work. It had a full carpet-out inspection when I bought it 5 years ago and with just a small amount of surface rust to treat and repaint the body shell is solid. Thanks to being garaged and being carefully maintained, this is a car in great condition.

The car has had all new rear suspension bushes and a 4 wheel alignment. The cam belt was changed last year as part of a full service and with just 57,000 under its belt, the car is just nicely run in.

At 20 years old, the car has a few signs of its age. The aluminium roof panels have a couple of small dents and two of the interior trim panels have cracks in them. Otherwise this is a superb example of the car and one of the best you'll find in the UK.
