1997 TVR

Finished in Le Mans Blue with a full leather retrim in majestic cream, the car has covered only 2,000 miles since completion of a full body off restoration. Total mileage is now 43,200. Whenever possible, new TVR parts have been used to help maintain the car as close to the original as possible. The following is a list of the main items fitted new:

• Chassis. New complete chassis and wishbones powder coated white, with standard bushes. All other mounting points for anti roll bars, diff., gearbox, replaced with poly bushes. New anti roll bar links and bushes front and rear. All other chassis items powder coated in white.

• Brakes. New rear callipers and pads, brake lines copper and braided flexible front and rear. New brake servo and master cylinder. Handbrake cable. Fronts upgraded to Alcon 4 pot. Callipers.

• Engine / clutch. New camshaft and lifters, oil pump, timing gears, power steering pump, water pump, dist cap, coil, rotor arm, plugs and leads. Stainless steel water/heater pipes throughout with black silicon hoses. ‘Smoothbore’ air inlet pipe. Engine mounts. New engine loom, custom made, which excludes all the wires and plugs not required for TVR application – a lot neater. New clutch and pressure plate, master cylinder and braided flexible hose.

Aluminium radiator, up rated twin fans, aluminium swirl pot and expansion tank.

New transducers. Stainless Steel exhaust with exhaust manifold and cats ceramic coated. New heat reflective material fitted to engine bay.

• Fuel System. New injectors with Tornado chip for ECU. New fuel regulator, pump and filter, plus a new set of fuel lines throughout. Carbon canister and pipe work.

• Interior. Full re-trim in Majestic Cream leather (Seats, dashboard, doors and inserts, centre console, roof hoop and trim, etc) Re carpeted in dark blue with new underlay and insulation material. Carpet edged in dark blue leather. New hood and rear screen, removable panel recovered in navy. All edge trim replaced. All dials have been calibrated and are finished with black background and chrome bezels, new switches and LEDs fitted to new walnut dash. Roof bag. Seat Belts. Sigma ‘s’ Scorpion alarm. Interior lights. Cigar lighter, Griffith kickplates. Boot re-carpet. Up rated speakers x4.

• Exterior. New light units throughout (main/dipped beam, indicators, side repeaters, rear cluster/bulb holders and number plate, new horns. Light covers. Set of Toyo Proxe tyres. Windscreen and rubbers. Wheels refurbished with new centre badges. New wiring loom to front lights and horns. All earth points remade with clean connections. Set of Gaz Pro shock absorbers. Body re-sprayed in BMW Lemans Blue.

• Other. New CV joints and lock plates. Extra High quality battery cable fitted with extra capacity lead to starter solenoid.

Note: All engine work, suspension geometry set up and inspection of the completed car was carried out by local TVR specialist.
