2004 Vauxhall

For sale is my 2004 Vauxhall Monaro VXR. FSH. Road tax expires 31/11/13. M.O.T. expires 25/07/14. 3 previous keepers. 36860 miles).

I’ve owned my Monaro for nigh on two years now. It’s been a pleasure to own, being very reliable and thrilling to drive, a real head turner! Full VXR spec too.

Full service history consists of that of a main Vauxhall Dealership and Monkfish Performance (renowned Vauxhall/Holden and HSV specialists) Other invoices from Monkfish Performance also along with old M.O.T. s. Drivers handbook present and spare key also.

The car benefits from a full stainless (CAT back) performance exhaust system made by Long Life Exhausts in Southend. The exhaust note is fantastic, it has all the characteristics of the true American V8 muscle car. Although not intrusive or “boomy” when cruising at motorway speeds.

An A.P. 6 pot big brake kit has been fitted upfront, since the standard brakes aren’t quite as good as they should be. The kit is superb, making the car feel planted, safe and secure under braking with good feed back. The car is completely standard aside from the exhaust and uprated front brakes.

Recently fitted is an LS 7 clutch kit by Monkish Performance (non aggressive) along with new spigot bearing and remote clutch bleeder. LS 7 clutch is far stronger, holding 600 bhp with a similar torque figure, so will last a long time.

Also new 365 mm A.P. front discs along with Ferodo DS 2500 pads have been fitted in the last 50 miles.

The exterior of the car is in superb condition. It’s been very well looked after by myself and previous owners. I’ve used Swissvax. Finish Kare, Auto Finesse and Autoglym products along with good quality micro fibre towels and cloths to wash, polish and wax the car regularly. Stone chips are apparent to the front the bumper but nothing more than to be expected at 36000 miles.

The car has also benefits from a service provided by Chassis Clean: Underbody steam cleaned, cavities and underbody injected with Dinitrol 3125 wax and undersealed with 4941. Very similar to being "Wax-oiled", preventing corrosion and rust.

The interior too is in great condition , the bolsters on the seats are firm and not sagging, plus the leather has been fed and cleaned regularly . No tears, cigarette burns or marks are present on the seats either. The interior is regularly cleaned with the products mentioned above. All interior electrics function properly as they should.

This is a very good low mileage example of a 5.7 Monaro VXR. The car has been my pride and joy, and as is my second car and has NOT been used on track days, quarter mile sprints etc. No faults apparent with the engine, suspension or drive train.

Incuded with the selling price is the private plate K8 HSV (Holden Special Vehicles).

Only selling since I fancy a Dax Rush V8 with serious power. Willing to part ex against if you have one!
