1995 Volkswagen

This reluctant sale made by a VW fan and only because I can no longer justify keeping it along with a VW Golf V5 ("daily"), another VR6 Corrado (VSR), and a few motorcycles. I need to devote my time and attention to the VR6 and let the Storm go to a good home.

I won't bore you with the history of the Corrado, there's plenty of information about it on the net or CCGB website of which I am a member. The Storm was the final Edition of the Corrado model when 500 cars were built at Osnabruck and shipped (only) to the UK. It is esssentially a VR6. Of those 500, 250 were painted in Mystic Blue with Black leather interiors and 250 in Classic Green with tan leather interior. Ten each of those two styles were automatic. So this car, which has been well maintained by my local garage with a great reputation and a similar passion for the VW range, is one of only 240 cars ever built!

Presenting the car, (which has never been deliberately driven in the wet since I have owned it over 6 years), at this time of year, is never good as the pictures will show but with some spit n polish the car will look great.

There are some reversable modifications: 288mm front brakes; Uprated Headlamp Loom (relays allow power directly from the battery); Lupo wipers, and lowered all round on Eibach springs 30mm. At the moment the car sports an open debadged grill but the original will go with the car.

Faults: There are a few: Some stone chips to the frontal area; the 10 Disc autochanger in the boot is inop; the electronic security system has been removed because it was draining the battery, but locking the car via the two keys will still provide the standard full closure; there is a small tear in the nearside door seal.

With very little effort or cost you could soon be "showing" this car (as I have), and I will include some lovely beige carpets to help. And with a bit more cost perhaps enter it in Concours competitions.
