Free: build your own Westfield
Fancy a free kit car? The next edition of Practical Performance Car (PPC) magazine is giving away a Westfield kit, worth £3,500, and tools worth £1,500, total £5,000 -- in return for which you have to share your experience of building it with PPC. And PistonHeads has negotiated a special, low-priced subscription offer for the mag to make it more tempting.
What's the catch?
In return for the car, you’ll have to describe the highs and lows, the trials and tribulations and the tips of building one of Britain’s best kit cars, so that others can benefit from your experience over four pages of PPC.
You’re limited to what running gear (provided by you) you can use, so PPC will want to hear about your plans for that too. You can choose between Ford’s Crossflow, Pinto, Duratec or Zetec 1.8/2.0, Vauxhall 16V, Honda Fireblade, Suzuki Hayabusa or Rover V8 and tell the mag why your selection is best and what you’re going to use the car for.
You’ll need to be able to write with flair and take decent photographs with a high-resolution digital camera. You’ll need to be disciplined enough to complete the job to a schedule and make the car available to PPC for three shows and submit three articles covering the build. It'll be a bit like 'kit car crisis', but on paper.
After that, it’s all yours to do with as you like. All you have to do is tell PPC a little about yourself and why you should win – why should they pick you?
The next edition, January 2006, goes on sale on 29 December, and entry forms are in the mag.
Subscription offer for PHers only
Try the next three issues of PPC for just £5 (inc post and packing), saving a whopping £6.70 on the normal shop price.
If you like the mag after three issues and want to continue receiving it, you need do nothing further, and PPC will send you a further 12 copies of the magazine at a discounted, all-inclusive price of £39, saving you a further £7.80 on the shop price.
