A new company has been started with the aim of providing cost-effective upgrades for TVR Griffith and Chimaera owners.
The man behind the new firm is TVR owner Clive Ford: “Since owning my Griffith I have been drawn to the thing like a magnet - usual TVR owner lifestyle really - home from work, quick Hello to the Mrs, and out to do something to the TVR, whether it’s fitting a new cam or polishing the living daylights out of it!”
The project started last year when Clive made some manifold heat shields for his own Griffith and then posted the pictures on Pistonheads. The reaction convinced him the market existed for a range of similar products.
“I always aim to keep something as simple as possible” continued Clive, “with the view that anyone who purchases a product can simply fit it themselves without having to pay someone at their local garage to do it for them. In the end it will cost a lot less money, and if it’s simple, quick and easy to fit, then you are more likely to be pleased with it rather than struggling for ages only to find it’s on the wrong way around!”
“I am very much open to fellow enthusiasts offering ideas - things that people may feel can be an improvement on the existing parts. It’s the people who own these cars who know what is good and what isn’t, and perhaps some of these ideas can be made into quality affordable products.”
