Excellent, Petrolicious is back on form with a Datsun 240Z that's right up the PH street. The video is called 'Dare to be Different', which seems ironic given
the Zee
imitated the muscle car styling and engineering template. Still it's a minor criticism of a superb video.
Owner Dave Scholz describes the style of his 240Z as akin to those that belonged to guys 'that would have driven to Fuji Speedway from Yokohama for a race'. To that end, there's a few little tweaks, including a gorgeous set of RS Watanabe wheels, a Nardi wheel, Recaro seats and some T3 suspension upgrades.
The Rebello-fettled straight six is now producing around 300hp and just sounds epic. The inherent smoothness of the configuration can be detected beneath a wailing, crackling, screaming exhaust. It's glorious.
Dave also outlines his plans for preserving the 240Z, suggesting it's probably a keeper. After this video, we can easily understand why.
