Just how much have you missed Quentin Wilson's permanently cocked eyebrow and oil-slick smooth tones? Oh. Alright, what about Jodie Kidd, here reverting back to more glamorous type rather than sweating away in the Celebrity Masterchef kitchen?
The pair are hosting a new programme with the self explanatory title The Classic Car Show. Based in a studio at Brooklands, the 13-part series - optimistically described as 'landmark' in the accompanying press bumph - promises "a supporting cast of global A-list celebrities" and "movie production values, attitude and humour." Trigger finger hovering over the kill switch? Wait! It features such well-known car pundits as Graham Norton, Tinie Tempah, Daisy Lowe and Jessie J.
Bruno Senna sections sound more up our street
There are glimmers of hope. Derek Bell driving a 962 at Le Mans and a Brabham BT11 at the Monaco Historique sounds more promising and Bruno Senna "putting 10 classics through their paces on a racetrack" could yet rescue the show from what sounds like a lot of fawning at multi-millionaire 'lifestyle' fluff. We shall see in January, even if the press release doesn't actually specify who will be airing the show.
You won't have to wait as long as that for the return of Harris to your screens though. He hasn't been idle in the weeks since we last had one of his videos and, rest assured, more PH-worthy viewing material with fewer supermodels but more tyre smoke will be online shortly.
