This Sunday will see the sixth running of the Wilton Classic Supercar with Castrol Edge. For the uninitiated, this event is held in the grounds of Wilton House, the ancestral home of the car-loving Earl of Pembroke, and it combines the feel of a family friendly garden party with spectacle of supercars in procession and the elegance of classic cars.
The organisers have laid on a really rather extraordinary collection of cars for you to ogle, some of which are very rarely seen in public. The line up reads like a lottery winner's wishlist and includes the one-off Aston Martin Bertone Jet 2+2, a Ferrari 250 SWB and no less than a dozen Jaguar XJ220s. Yep, 12. They've even got a McLaren P1 which - if you haven't heard - is "a whole new thing".
So, it is set to be a fantastic event and a must for any self respecting PHer. Meaning we're extra proud to be the official media partner and as such we are going to be covering the event from start to finish.
We have over 650 PHers bringing their cars to display in our dedicated parking area. Here you can browse the special metal, have a chat and enjoy our very own private catering area. We've also enlisted the help of a crack team of eagle-eyed judges who will be on the lookout for the 'most PH' car on show. The lucky recipient of this coveted accolade will be on the receiving end of both eternal recognition and a great prize in the shape of a V-Box Sport courtesy of the lovely people at RaceLogic. Best get those polishing cloths out...
Furthermore, don't forget about the rally stage sponsored by Castrol Edge with iconic Group B rally cars including the Metro 6R4 performing high speed runs along the valley floor. Race2Recovery will also be running its Dakar Bowler Wildcat in between the Group B runs. To top this off rally star Elfyn Evans will also be taking to the track in his Castrol Ford Fiesta R200 to show what the modern rally cars are capable of. For a taster of the Group B action, have a watch of the video here.
Due to popular demand our dedicated PH parking area is now fully booked and even has a reserves list, but you can still come along and buy a ticket on the gate.
