Phew. Well that's Paris done for another year. But don't think that's meant PH has been quiet for a week. Oh no. There's been a celebration of AMG products old and new, another 911 derivative to discuss, a new model from Tesla and a BTCC drive. See it all here!
Past masters
PH's focus is typically on brand new cars, but we made special exception this week to feature two cars from the recent past that will surely make great used buys. The Audi R8 is still available new but having been around largely unchanged since 2007 a PH Buying Guide had plenty to cover. Used V8s start at £40,000 now...
Moreover, with huge anticipation around the next W205 Mercedes-AMG C63, what better time to celebrate its predecessors? The PH C-Class AMG Market Watch covers all models back to the 1993 C36 looking into which models are rarest, the best value and the most dynamically talented. Temptation to own may result from reading!
But of course there's been plenty of new cars to get keyboard fingers tapping too. Porsche has further expanded the 911 range with a 991 Carrera GTS, Ferrari is marking its American 60th anniversary with the F60America and there's a new Tesla Model S with nearly 700hp too. Really.
Musical chairs
There's been a considerable amount of industry news keeping us occupied since Monday as well. There's more from Jean-Marc Gales on Lotus's feature plus a potentially big departure from Ferrari. And as Mitsubishi commits itself to a non-Evo future, Volvo could revolutionise 2.0-litre turbos with its new 'Triple Boost' engine. 450hp anyone?
The PH reviews this week could hardly be more diverse. From virtually driving motorsport cars in Driveclub to a few laps in a real BTCC Honda around Donington via a fettled BMW 4 Series, a fair few bases have been covered. We can't promise next week will be as broad in its scope...
In fact BMW has featured fairly prominently in other PH news. With a back catalogue of iconic GT and touring cars, expectations were high for BMW's Z4 GT3 replacement. If the reality matches the early sketches for the M6 GT3, there will be no disappointment. Imagine it racing the Bentley Continental GT3, Audi R8s and Aston V12s at Spa... For those interested in BMW's racing history, don't forget to check out the trailer for Adrenalin. Focused on touring cars, it promises to be a film every BMW fan will need to see.
Team PH Speaks
PH always likes to offer the best competition and we think you'll agree the latest is pretty fantastic. Castrol is offering a four-day trip to the Rallye de Espana with a Ken Block passenger ride included too. Interested? Details here.
With so much news from Paris, there was no time to cover the spectacle itself. When you're travelling by Lamborghini that story needs to be told! Read Dan's Huracan blog here.
And everything else? Well, we have a Dream Drive for if the Nurburgring is closed, a Cupra comparison fleet story, another £100K Garage as well as an auction focus on turbo'd Bentleys. Don't forget to read also Shed's latest find, a Japanese hero in POTW and the fast Ford you've never heard of.
