We like the Mercedes E63 AMG S here at PH. As
a saloon
the estate
is arguably even sillier still, especially as both are rear-drive only. Now Vaeth has launched a series of 'V63 RS Export' upgrades taking Merc's fastest estate to 750hp, 737lb ft and 220mph. Yes, really.
An E-Class never looked so evil
The power gain comes through new Vaeth turbos running a higher boost pressure, an ECU remap and a new exhaust. There is a 680hp upgrade available for those feeling slightly less insane. At 24,000 euros (just under £19K) the full 750hp job is certainly not a cheap way to big power, but then it is more power than a Pagani Huayra.
Other modifications fitted to this car here included the front coilovers (the self-levelling rear is adapted too) which can lower the car between 20 and 40mm for 1,100 euros (£860). The forged 20-inch wheels are expensive at 3,400 euros (£2,700) for the four but do look damn good. With the suspension drop too you have an E-Class wagon crammed with visual attitude. Top marks for the debadge too.
To be leaving shot very quickly
There are a few carbon trinkets Vath will sell you too but that detracts from the covert appeal of the V63 RS bits. Leave the interior add-ons as well. According to the press release 'Vaeth suggests to take a set of racing braking pads and Castrol SRF racing brake fluid including flexible steel brake tubes'. Sounds like wise advice...
The propensity of big, fast Benzes to depreciate means the Vaeth package becomes a whole lot more feasible. This grey estate is £63K with just over a thousand miles on it... Actually, perhaps wait until it's out of warranty for the 750hp upgrades. Still, cool car!
