Jaguar C-Type with Stirling Moss at the wheel
Regular readers may remember that a 1952 C-Type once owned by PHer McNab was to be auctioned off at Christie's, and that it was expected to reach between £1.2 and £1.5 million.
PistonHeads has learned that the car was withdrawn at £1,070,000. Bidding started at £750,000 then stuck at £1,000,000 followed by a last bid of £1,070,000. This failed to reach the reserve price of £1,200,000.
It's possible it may be re-auctioned -- or more likely, that a deal will be done privately.
