The Dunlop Race Academy 2005 entries closed last week, with 8,000 hopefuls entering to try and win a place on the grid at Silverstone in the Ginetta final round in October.
From a tough online examination, seven regional winners have been picked to go through to the semi final evaluation day. More information is available online (see link below).
For those that missed out on qualifying, Dunlop is offering another way to get on the grid, with a top competition where one lucky winner can win a brand new Ginetta G20 race car and full ARDS training.
Dunlop PR man James Bailey said, "At Thruxton, Tiff Needell drove the Dunlop celebrity car. Over 30 years ago he entered motor racing after winning a Lotus Formula Ford car in an Autosport competition. Dunlop is always looking for ways to encourage people to enter the sport, and Tiff's experience inspired us to offer a unique prize. A brand new, race prepared Ginetta G20 Cup car, with training, is on offer to the winner."
