So take some pleasure from the news that trials of 20 altered Skoda Fabias being tested at Leeds University are running behind schedule because of problems persuading the satellite-controlled systems to work.
The Government-backed project is also still waiting for a new simulator that can test the reactions of drivers to their vehicles slowing down.
