Last week saw the biggest collection of Ferrari Enzos in one place. The Mugello International Circuit in Italy hosted the Ferrari World Finals, the traditional event to close the Prancing Horse’s sports season, from Wednesday 19 to Sunday 23 October.
Events included the final rounds of the season for the Italian, European and American Ferrari 360 Challenge Pirelli Trophy series, along with the final race to decide the outright champion on a world level.
It also marked the unveiling of the new F430 Challenge, which will be used in the Ferrari one-make series as from next year. Also on the Tuscan track was the 2005 grand finale for the Shell Ferrari Maserati Historic Challenge, also open to the historic cars from the Trident marque.
Completing the busy programme was an exhibition of the single-seaters prepared by the F1 Clienti department at Maranello and a demonstration from Scuderia Ferrari providing the highpoint of the final day.
To support the World Finals, Ferrari invited Enzo owners to bring their cars to Mugello for the world’s largest gathering of Enzo Ferraris, with 50 cars on track on both Saturday and Sunday.
Seven UK Enzo drivers participated in the weekend’s events, with the cars prepared by Ferrari GB technicians prior to being transported to Italy. Each car also had a Union Flag applied to the roof of the car.
