Caption competition time!
PistonHeads recently sent a man undercover (without expenses) to review the automotive scene in the Russian capital. Here's his report.
I saw lots of men in dark suits holding shady meetings in hotel lobbies, more blacked out windows that you can ever imagine and the most outrageous displays of self importance – demonstrated by the fella who emerged from my hotel as I was returning. He stepped into a black V12 Brabus, and was flanked by military personnel in full body armour carrying Uzi sub-machine guns driving a blacked out X5.
I’ve also never seen so many Ladas or Trabants and never did I imagine that I would actually be driven in a Lada as the staple taxi.
None of this tops the wedding car we saw (see picture). We thought it was a fake that had been towed for everyone’s amusement until the thing drove off.
We'll have more from our eastern correspondent, just as soon as he's recovered from his hangover. And if you have any automotive pics you'd like to share with the world, send them in and we'll consider them.
