There's a new performance supercar hire club on the block. Écurie25 operates from London’s financial district, and claimed to offer access to cars for less than it would cost to run the car yourself.
It operates in a similar manner to Damon Hill's P1 Performance Car Club. Members get points that they trade for time in the cars. The point value depends on the car, season and day of week. Cars are split into three groups. Supercars like the Ferrari F430, the Lamborghini Gallardo and the Bentley Continental GT reside in f1, while f3 cars are all about raw impracticality. Think fun, think 300bhp Ariel Atom and Caterham CSR-260.
Annual membership costs from £7,495 -- less than the P1 club -- with a £750 joining fee and gives around 35 days' use of the supercars. A monthly payment option is also available. New members who sign up before 2 December get 100 bonus points equivalent to a long weekend in a Ferrari F430.
"At écurie25 we offer so much more than outright ownership", said Erik Fairbairn, director and founder of écurie25. “Our members recognise that outright ownership of one supercar gives no variety, écurie25 asks the question: why choose between a Ferrari and a Bentley when you can have them both?
"In addition unrivalled choice and removing the hassle of ownership, écurie25 is also financially the superior option. “Our yearly membership fee is a fraction of what it would cost to own and run just one of our cars; equally the equivalent driving time in rented cars would cost approximately double an écurie25 membership and would not come close to offering the same variety."
