Nobles get mirror and window systems
Marcos Engineering – yes, that Marcos – has announced its latest aftermarket product, the PowerGlide drop glass and remote mirror system. The system delivers full power windows and mirrors to Noble sports cars.
Precision engineered and totally bespoke, it uses high efficiency, lightweight electric motors. These deliver a wind-down time of under three seconds, and the entire system-- drop glass windows and power mirrors – weighs only 4Kg. According to Marcos, smooth, reliable operation is delivered with custom fabricated mechanisms and subsystems. The wiring system is a custom, modular harness that integrates seamlessly with existing in car wiring via professional connectors. A bespoke switch panel provides user friendly and easily accessible control.
The company’s PowerGlide System costs £1,299 for the PowerGlide window system and £1,399 for the remote mirrors. Both systems can be purchased together as the PowerGlide II package for £2,499. All pricing includes full installation and customer pick-up and drop-off from Warwick Parkway Train station. All PowerGlide products come with a one year unconditional guarantee and a two year guarantee on the electric motors.
Comment
"I wouldn't trust just anybody with my Noble, but from day one I knew my car was in the best of hands with the expert team from Marcos. The system looks as if it was fitted on the production line. Looking at it, it's hard to imagine it hasn't always been part of the car", said Dennis Clarke, a Noble owner and PHer who has the PowerGlide System installed on his M12. “Marcos have used equipment of the highest standard. The window mechanism operates smoothly and effortlessly and in my opinion has improved the sound proofing of the car with a tighter window shut position. The electric mirrors are simple to operate and give great position hold. I love the results and I'm very happy.”
“Our engineering team at Marcos Engineering is extremely talented and customer driven”, said Marcos boss Tony Stelliga. “With the repeated requests for this system from our customers, we decided to leverage off of our internal development and deliver a solution to the market – and the results are very impressive”.
